Freelance Recruiting & Hiring

With 5+ years of senior technical recruitment experience - let me help you find your next engineer, designer, and product manager!

I've hired for several companies on a contract and full-time basis including Saks Fitfh Avenue, Flow Commerce, OkCupid, Better.com, LiveAuctioneers, Dotdash Meredith (a.k.a Investopedia.com, Brides.com, People Magazine, Entertainment Weekly, Travel + Leisure, and Food & Wine)

Let's be honest. MOST recruiting agencies suck to work with. Recruiting agencies are in the business of making money (particularly commision) and don't care to create teams that fit your company's culture or internal equity or anything that you care about as a hiring manager.

THE RECRUITING PHILOSOPHY

I believe that recruiting should be intentional no matter what you’re hiring for. Finding the best candidates comes from an understanding of the companies values, needs, and an understanding of the company does best. I have a background in engineering and building businesses as a frontend developer and consultant myself, I understand the tech, design, and product industry and I know that I can help you find your next best hire OR the next best hires!

SERVICES

Since I am a freelancer / contractor, the services I provide are different from an agency in nature. I provide consulting in house for companies in most industries of all sizes as well as full-cycle recruitment services. When you work with me, you basically get yourself contracted in-house recruiter who will take care of process, hiring, sourcing, recruiting, and assist in onboarding.

FAQS

How is hiring you different from hiring an agency?

Agencies charge contingency fees and retainers and on an going basis for the amount of time their candidate works at your company. The payment model I use is a consulting model where I would be paid for the time worked and will work as an independent recruiter at your company to perfect a hiring process as well as make the hires needed.

How many hires can I expect you to help me make?

Every market is different and while my time will be spent efficiently in recruiting efforts for your company, hires cannot be guaranteed. I will say that as I recruit I do use a formula in which I know I can roughly hire 2-5 employees a month while working 10-20 hours a week.

What if I already have a recruitment department and just need an extra recruiter/sourcer?

Great! Let’s chat! I’m happy to both follow a recruitment process already set for me or can recommend improvements on your existing recruitment and pipelining process. If you need me to just help build pipelines and source candidates - I can do that too!

How will you bill me? Invoice me?

I work as an independent contractor and you will be invoiced as a client on an hourly rate on a weekly basis for hours worked. You can payroll me as 1099 if you wish.
